Guided snowshoe hike

Join us for a guided snowshoe hike in the Vindelfjällen nature reserve, where we head out into the quiet winter landscape surrounding Hemavan. During the shortest days of winter, the sun barely rises above the mountains, creating a magical atmosphere for exploring the snowy wilderness.

As we make our way through the snow, your local guide will tell you more about the landscape and help you look for tracks and signs of wildlife. Keep your eyes open – you never know what we might find along the way.

As darkness falls, we’ll stop by the campfire to warm up and make pinnbröd, traditional Swedish bread cooked over an open fire. Enjoy a warm drink, the crackling fire and the silence of the mountains around you.

And if we’re lucky, the Northern Lights may make an appearance above us. There are no guarantees, but that’s part of the magic of being outdoors in winter.

During spring (March and April), we run this tour in the late afternoon, making it easy to combine with a full day of skiing before heading out into the mountains with us.
