Whether you’re a beginner or want to search for new exciting fishing spots in the Hemavan area, we got you covered! As all our tours are human powered adventure, we take ourselves out into nature by hiking and enjoying the nature as part of the tour.
Introduction to fishing:
We give you the basic skills for fishing during a two hour try out in the Umeå river that runs through Hemavan. Fishing equipment, bait , a fishing permit and a warm drink are included.
Fishing in the mountains:
We take you out on arctic char or trout fishing in the mountains close to Hemavan depending on time of the season. The hike is about two hours both ways. We’ll take you to some good spots. We’ll provide you with the baits that work in these waters and teach how to fish them depending on time of the year, weather etc. If we’re lucky the catch might be good, but as always with fishing, fish can’t be guaranteed.
With this tour, a warm lunch, coffee or tea, a fishing permit and fishing equipment if needed is included. You can also bring your own equipment. If you do, we recommend a rod 7-8 feet with lure weights of 3-20 grams as fishing is usually best with small baits in the mountains.
